Data Management

  • Our data processes...
  • Daily data collection, aggregation, and warehousing begins with early morning automated script routines running procedures to electronically download external client and market data using a prioritized schedule. Our data teams are alerted to any issues with automated processes and quickly resolve conflicts to ensure the timely retrieval of data. The data is loaded into a fully relational SQL database for mass storage of data and efficient retrieval.
  • Data mappings and standardizations are applied to ensure data quality and consistency across all data sources. Data sources include banks, trust companies, insurance companies, brokerage companies and other accounting systems. Automated data mappings and cross-reference tables allow new information to be quickly processed and uploaded to client systems. Data types consist of investment holdings data, tax lot data, transactional data, pending trade data, cash positions, and other accounting data.
  • Data validation and controls confirm when the information is complete, accurate, and ready to be released for clients to view within the online reporting system. Any exceptions are noted and the appropriate data source company is contacted to resolve any issues. Automated batch reports are triggered to be initiated, processed, and delivered to clients via online systems, mobile device or email.
  • Interfaces and file transmissions allow data files to efficiently be transferred from OroSolutions systems to client internal accounting systems via sftp or direct import/export. Data files can be formatted based on the client's internal requirements including data file control totals and header records. In addition, client specific data mappings and coding can be maintained and automatically applied to data files.
  • Permanent document archive provides our clients the ability to store any type of static documents within our online system. Document types include pdf documents, spreadsheets, contractual agreements, investment guidelines, tax returns and other document types. A fully searchable screen allows 24-7 access to documents at the office or via remote access. This provides our clients a complete history of secure documents for permanent archive available for internal staff, external auditors, and third parties.
